In Search of Couloirs in the Nevada Desert

Nevada is not exactly known for their backcountry skiing scene, but there are some hidden gems such as the famous Terminal Cancer Couloir. In search of a proper adventure our friends at The Road West Traveled went out to find a similar line hidden deep in the range spotted on a late night Google Earth recon mission. Hours of bushwhacking from the desert floor finally gave way to snow at higher elevations, and the couloir perfectly splitting the headwall came into view. Watch the video below to see how the entire trip unfolded.
